My mom, Carolyn, and I have always dreamed of opening a doggie daycare and boarding business. After Carolyn retired from the Air Force and I graduated college we were set to begin. However, I was living in St. Petersburg, Florida after college when I married my husband Daniel. We then spent some time raising a family and then returned to Panama City to be near our families, all the while still pursuing our goals. We have spent years studying and attending conferences in the pet care industry. In addition we have a mentor who has been in business over 20 years and owns three large facilities. We have looked at hundreds of facilities across the U.S. and listened to local pet owner's to come up with the vision that has become Ruff House Resort, an upscale getaway for the most pampered dogs.
We were days away from signing our first lease on our building when Hurricane Micheal hit Bay County in October 2018. We had to put everything on hold for the business until we could put our lives and homes back in order. Now, two years later we are extremely excited to bring you and your dog the most amazing, customizable and enriching experience that they deserve during their stay with us. .

Briana Weber
Owner
Briana has always loved animals, especially dogs! It has always been a dream to open up a dog business with her mom, Carolyn! Now they are finally doing it and they are super excited!
Briana received her degree in Accounting from the University of South Florida, in Tampa. Soon after entering the work force she realized that accounting was not for her and that she needed to follow her heart, doing something that involved working with dogs on a daily basis! Her and her husband, Daniel, lived in Tampa for almost 8 years, but decided to move home to Panama City after having their first child, Emmalee. Since moving home and working towards opening RHR, Briana and Daniel added another family member, Thomas. They also have two dogs, an Akita named Duke and a Rottweiler named Daisy.
Carolyn Calvin

Carolyn is a retired ARNP who served in the United States Air Force for 24 years and retired as a Lt. Colonel. She has lived and worked in Panama City for the past twelve years with her daughter Briana and her husband David. David also served in the Air Force as a helicopter pilot and continues to work at Tyndall, AFB. Carolyn and David normally have two dogs, Nani and Brady (Go Patriots!), that is when Carolyn is not bringing home lost or abandoned animals....which can be quite a regular occurrence.
Daniel Weber
IT & Manager
Daniel is a Panama City native. He moved back home after marriage and the arrival of his first child so that he could be closer to family. His parent's and brother both own businesses in Panama City so it seemed inevitable that Daniel would follow suit. He attended college in South Florida and continues to work toward a further degree in Computer Programming. Daniel and Briana have two large dogs named Duke and Daisy. Daniel's love for the large breeds has landed him his position as our lead Rufferee in the Classy Canine playgroup. In addition, Daniel is in charge of all things IT.
