About Us

Welcome to Ruff House Resort!

Ruff House Resort has been years in the making. What started as a dream between my mom, Carolyn—a retired Air Force veteran—and me, turned into a mission: to create the ultimate getaway for dogs. After college, I moved to Florida, started a family, and eventually made my way back home to Panama City where we could finally bring our vision to life.

We’ve spent years researching the industry, attending pet care conferences, and learning from one of the best—our mentor who runs three successful facilities. We've toured hundreds of dog resorts across the country and talked to local pet owners to craft a space that feels like a second home for your pup.

Just as we were about to sign our first lease, Hurricane Michael hit. Like many in Bay County, we had to rebuild from the ground up. Now, after weathering the storm—literally—we’re thrilled to welcome your dog to Ruff House Resort: a luxury retreat where every stay is personal, playful, and packed with love.
